This is a news forum. But I sure am seeing a lot of vanity posts lately.
You know our readers generally frown on vanities (unless exceptional in quality) so if you feel the urge to post yet another run of the mill vanity, please resist it.
Or, in the very least, be sure to submit a donation along with your vanity submission.

While I agree that vanities seem to have gotten out of control of late, I appreciate these live updates on polling conditions from my fellow Freepers. Perhaps a live thread is needed.

There’s going to be a lot of eye witness ‘vanity’s’ today, so cut back on the coffee and relax maybe switch over to some herbal teas, like ginger or hibiscus, they keep the blood pressure down. It’s going to be a long day.
I can think of no other day where so called Vanity Posts are more appropriate.
The future of the United States of America is on the line for God’s sake and these Threads at least give us some hope that sanity has returned no matter what tomorrow brings.
How about a one day Vanity Amnesty? I’m already a Monthly Donor and I never Post Vanity Threads, so another FReeper can appropriate my Donation to say his / her piece.
