If Trump wins Michigan, it will be a Trump landslide... And a lot of hand wringing by msnbc, cnn, et al..
We voted absentee before leaving the country. Watching and praying.

I would say the same thing to you. Today is going to be a busy day on FR, and we really don't need vanity threads every time someone can't be bothered to put it in an existing thread.
Jim has made an explicit request to curb the vanities. It was posted only 10 days ago.

I appreciate your concern. Like I said we donated last week for Jim’s birthday. I had no plans to do it but when I saw the Ohio thread I decided. Lots of attention on Michigan. Plus lots of Freepers in Michigan. You can see that since joining in 1999 I have not posted many threads. I leave that to capable others.

This is election day, and lots of people will be describing their experiences voting and what they see.
Then put it in an existing thread. There are many of them.
Because it's Election Day, FR is going to be busy. We don't need a vanity thread from every person that can't be bothered to find an existing thread that is relevant.
Per Jim's message, a donation grants you one vanity thread. Be sure to put it in your comment (others have done so, since the policy was instituted).
It won't be a license for every person to post a vanity.

Since Jim announced the policy, some posters have been announcing it in their comment at the start of a vanity thread.
So your answer is ‘no’.
I’d also like to read the ‘on the ground’ reports. It’d be great if we didn’t have to wade through so many ‘stop posting vanities’ posts that are cluttering up the threads. THAT is taking more away from things than anything else, IMHO.
With people using a pen, that’s a good sign they understand voter fraud and could be Trump voters.
North of GR...feel Michigan is going for Trump. Strongly. The local Republican headquarters told me yesterday they have had democrats coming in and telling them they are voting Trump, but not telling anyone. I think we will see a lot of that.

That’s been pretty common around here. Almost no Hillary sigs and some Trump signs have gone up in the last week or so. Have not seen one Trump or Hillary bumper sticker at all. Kind of why I am just flying a flag on the car. But we will be heard today.
Well here there was discussion about stocking food and water and all the many people showing up to vote who have not voted in a long time. This town is red. We don’t have lines. We have a community. I love living here so much. God Bless Trump and Pence!!!
