I just got off the phone with Mavericks Surf Shop. They said 35 feet. No call yet for the Mavericks event. Shoot if I were still the Bay Area, I’d probably go by and check it out.

Any reports on Mavericks?

Don't know, I'm not (brave enough to be) a surfer.

Just came back from Pacifica near the pier, with my granddaughter. Waves are huge, enveloping entire beach and hitting near to top of pier. Portions of the wall between beach and sidewalk have warning signs about waves crashing over onto the sidewalk, and indeed a few areas of sidewalk are partially flooded with water. No wind to speak of, beautiful sunny day, but huge waves crashing in. Awesome and breathtaking! Can only walk on the sidewalk, beach is too dangerous as it is continually splashed up to the rocks at the sidewalk barrier wall.

Mavericks to WATCH, not to surf. I love watching this stuff but would be terrified to go out there. I like to play in little baby waves. :)
