"We will continue to stand," Ammon Bundy vowed Monday as he prepared to head this week to Nevada to face trial....after his stunning courtroom triumph...
"It was our duty to stand. We did it peacefully. We did it legally, and the jury's verdicts confirmed that," Bundy said during a phone call with The Oregonian/OregonLive from the Multnomah County Detention Center.
The leader of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge takeover also added his voice to the call for prosecutors to drop charges against other occupiers scheduled to face trial on the same conspiracy charge in February. Defense lawyers want U.S. attorneys to dismiss the case.

He said he was optimistic last Thursday as he was led into the courtroom to hear the verdicts against him, his brother and five other defendants in the 41-day refuge seizure.......
Once the judge read off "not guilty" for him, he knew everyone else also had been acquitted, he said.
"I felt pretty comfortable. I felt at peace with what was going to happen," he said. "I knew what we did was right. We had no ill intent."
Bundy, 41 testified that he proposed the armed takeover in a backroom of a Burns restaurant on Jan. 2 to draw attention to the plight of two Harney County ranchers imprisoned for setting fire to public land and to protest federal mismanagement of vast tracts of territory...
The trial ended in yet one more display of government overreach, he said. when U.S. marshals arrested his attorney, Marcus Mumford.....Deputy marshals used a stun gun on Mumford and tackled him......
"We know what we did in Nevada was right," Ammon Bundy said. "We're very confident God will continue to protect us and show forth his hand in Nevada."....

Ammon Bundy again emphasized the non-violent nature of the Oregon Standoff protest. We learned as the protest unfolded in January and at the trial that those who came around looking militant and or bringing large quantities of guns and ammo were people who opposed the protest when it began like the "III Percent/Oath Keepers Pacific Patriot Network" types or they were informants for the FBI like the man who called himself "John Killman".
Ammon Bundy did a good thing in spite of the fact that the Republican Establishment through the presidential candidates opposed his protest.
The Democrats (Obama and Oregon Gov. Kate Brown) used the FBI and supporting Oregon law enforcement to discredit the peaceful protest and use deadly force (remember LaVoy Finicum) against it.
What is Bundy under arrest for now?
Last I read he was ‘not guilty’, his defense attorney asked why he wasn’t being released since they produced no paperwork to hold him, and they attacked the defense attorney and threw the lawyer in jail too.

I wonder if they simply want to hold Bundy until after the election?
The lawyer wanted the paperwork saying that Ammon Bundy was to be held and sent to Nevada to face charges there.
He was arguing that Judge Brown herself had said she has no jurisdiction over matters in Nevada so why would she not allow Bundy to go free at that moment.
The response he got was the take down and taser from the federal marshals.
They are afraid of the people released like David Fry who has been tried by the crucible of the FBI siege or the activist Gavin Seim, who ran the live hookup with David Fry when the FBI began its assault on February 10th.
Its been said that the FBI is watching Seim like he’s a terrorist and as Seim travels throughout the West all the federal facilities in the areas he’s traveling through go on “lockdown”.

According to what others wrote, the verdict was via jury nullifcation. The jury simply held the law in contempt as unconstitutional/unjust.
Works for me. I’m all for brazen jury nullification against tyranny.
But that’s just half of the story.

“If there’s a detainer show me,” Mumford stood, arguing before the judge.
Suddenly a group of about six U.S. Marshals surrounded Mumford at his defense table. The judge directed them to move back but moments later, the marshals grabbed on him.
“What are you doing?” Mumford yelled, as he struggled and was taken down to the floor.
As the deputy marshals yelled. “Stop resisting,” the judge demanded, “Everybody out of the courtroom now!”
Mumford was taken into custody [and released two days later. Since he made little comment I suspect he’s under a gag order.]

Seems to me that they were caught flat footed, never dreamed of jury nullification. No other charges. So they are buying time, scheming, and perhaps trying to run out the election clock.
After the election I would not be surprised if they try to quietly release Bundy and take their medicine.
This issue could blow up in the Etablishment’s face.
Now that it has been proven that they were innocent and within their rights the whole time, that proves they should never stopped and arrested.
So when is the trial for the murder of LaVoy Finicum going to begin?
The “Inspector General of the Justice Department” is investigating the conduct of the FBI agents who fired first at LaVoy and then lied about it. Ha Ha......
The Oregon authorities investigated the conduct of their state troopers who fired at LaVoy and said they were justified.
LaVoy’s widow intends to sue over his death with federal and Oregon authorities being targeted in the lawsuit.
Ammon Bundy is right about the Nevada standoff. They were entirely in the right, and the people of America responded.
The reality was that establishment big wigs were getting rich off of government property and wanted to extend that to the range on which Bundy and others had grazed cattle for years. Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid was foremost among those leeches.
The people saw it and took a stand with Bundy.
The feds brought in snipers, armored vehicles, roadblocks, violations of free speech, and media/political shenanigans to hide the truth.
This is an extension of that. The government was rebuked by the people, and now they think they get payback blood out of Ammon Bundy.
And they committed homicide on the way to this day.
The Federal Marshals are the Domestic Terrorists the govt is so worried about.

In other words, they are rehashing a previous investigation.
And it appears to me they did not plan to on the day that he should have been released. They held him and tried to figure out a justification after tazing and locking up his defense attorney.
I didn’t notice a 2016 date on the page you linked me to.
