Around that time, I was in graduate school, and my GF at the time looked like the woman on the cover of the album- same hair, same velvet green dress, same matte pink lipstick. I was a DJ for my university station in the evenings and played lots of synthpop and jangly guitar music like this tune. Good times.

Really one of the best acoustic albums of the 90’s, if you like that, you’ll love the contemporary band Real Estate. Their first two albums and their lead guitarist’s band Ducktails are awesome.
My favorite off that album was either Confetti or Alison’s Starting to Happen. Juliana Hatfield adds the perfect spice to it too. If you tweet Evan Dando, a lot of time he’ll tweet back.
