I understand that sentiment, and I have thought some things and said some things about my country in anger in recent days myself.

The left is much better off than they were 24 years ago. 8 of those 24 years were GOP W.H. led and look how much spending went up. Long term the Rats keep moving the ball forward. Does Trump take us back to 2008(b4 Obama), 1965(Great Society), or before Roosevelts time? Granted he loses we're really screwed. Something tells me too many Americans don't have a clue. We'll know in 2 weeks.

This is a game of good cop/ bad cop being played by two bad cops.
The left is incredibly richer after the Obama years.
They have used the government to steal billions, and put them into to accounts of hard-left (communist) front groups.
Obama violated bankruptcy laws to confiscate General Motors, and turn over controlling interest to his union boss cronies.
They used the Justice Department to shake down the banking industry for billions more, supposedly for the housing collapse. Instead of going to to injured homeowners, the overwhelming bulk of the fortune went to ACORN-like “Social justice” organizations - whose main functions are Get Out The Vote (GOTV) operations for Democrats, and rent-a-mob astroturf operations (like the unions).
Obamacare included mountains of money for more GOTV efforts (over a billion in one year, just in California), supposedly to help get people signed up.
The budget of every Department of the Government is now loaded with a multitude of endlessly varied and well-disguised permanent payment streams to leftist groups.
They have been non-stop in milking the Treasury, and confiscating privately owned wealth to dramatically enrich and empower the hard left, like never before.
Left and Right is an obsolete paradigm.
All that is, now, in the real world, is regime vs. opposition.
If you’re still fighting Right vs. Left then you’re an ally of the regime whether you understand that or not.

Reagan overcame Carter. But he didn't get us back to even the 60s, in terms of family, religion, culture, legal system and constitutional law, education. He is the only Republican of the post war era to push the ratchet back the other way, just a little.
The Bushes moved the country in the progressive direction, just a little. Clinton a lot (with Gingrich being his only brake) and Obama, with no brake, a lot. Obama has been the most successful President, in terms of what he accomplished of what he wanted to accomplish, of any in the post-war period. It will take immense effort, luck and skill to teach Republicans how to win. Not sure anyone can.

they’ve been mislead by the dishonest media arm of the establishment for decades. indoctrinated and abused in the federal schools. or drawn here from corrupt cultures to be enslaved as cheap labor by the powers that be. inherent human weakness pandered to and taken advantage of. their minds have been willfully shut down.
but there’s no need to overly fret about it. i can forgive all the ignorance because truth is so hard to come by here. all i know is that justice will eventually be done. these wrongs will eventually be redressed. we simply have to stay the course, run the race, do what is right, carry out our responsibilities, and carry the message as best we know how. then it’s up to God.

The hard Left turn started in 1901 when Teddy Roosevelt became president!
Except for the Coolidge administration in the 1920s, and the first four years of the Reagan administration in the 1980s, the USA has been steadily moving to the Left for 115 years!
Oh, and Lincoln did not exactly help things by revoking various Constitutional liberties, totally destroying the economy of the Southern states, and killing close to 10% of America's young men.
And, since Trump was a center-left Democrat for much of his life, I'm not especially confident he will do more than postpone America's political suicide for eight years.

The real left/right division is even more important than the political one (though they are tied at the hip...)
This country has descended into a Orwellian Socialist-Fascist cesspool of madness.
