The white out in the stands became the white out on the field as Penn State fans mobbed their Nittany Lions. Well after the biggest victory of the post-Joe Paterno era was over, the cries of "We Are! Penn State!" echoed underneath 56-year-old Beaver Stadium and bounced off its big rusty metal beams.

Looks like ‘Bama will have to run a gauntlet of LSU with a healthy Leonard Fournette finally playing up to their talent level and Auburn with a punishing running game and a front 7 as good as any in the country.
All the big wins in the world won’t get rid of the stench out there.
I love it (says this Clemson fan and alum).
Ready for the game of the week at Tallahassee???
Quote: Ready for the game of the week at Tallahassee???
No, LOL. But I wasn’t ready for the game against Louisville, either.
Michigan moves up. The Wolverines have a tough schedule down the stretch though.
You are so right.
Kudos to the young football players who have made their school proud. This PSU grad wishes them a successful football season.
Bullshit, the stench is your whiskey breath. These young players weren't even in diapers when a pervert roamed Penn State locker rooms.
No perversion has ever occurred anywhere else?
BTW, the perp is in prison and Joepa is dead. Piss off.
“He’s dead Jim.”
Congrats Nittany Lions! What a fun game to watch.
Alabama is READY. Roll Tide!
Although, truth be told, I enjoyed seeing Auburn unleashed yesterday.
Makes the Iron Bowl that much more exciting!
Ohio State has had its stench as well:

The present day staff and players at PSU had nothing to do with Sandusky. The people involved with Sandusky have been brought to justice and/or are dead. Even those who knew nothing about Sandusky shared in the punishment for years afterward.
Time to move on. PSU has a great football history and their comeback is one of the reasons the Big 10 is once again becoming a top conference.
Disclaimer: I am a casual Penn State fan.
OSU does as well. You can be sure these opponents will be carefully studying both the WI and PSU game plan against OSU. I’m sure PSU studied WI and took it one step further. But you have to be able to execute.

They got rid of most of the stink. The kids on the field had nothing to do with what happened.
Good for THIS team.
To give Ohio State its due, they played a tough team last week which had a bye week to prepare for OSU - and Penn State also had a bye week to prepare for OSU. Eventually that kind of schedule would just naturally tend to catch up with you.I wouldnt be surprised to see PSU have a tough time next Saturday against a much less vaunted team than Ohio State.
My wife has a degree from Penn State. I warned her last night that next Saturday might be tougher than you might think. And also mentioned that the rest of the Big Ten Conference will be happy to see OSUs record in conference nicked with an L.
I love it said this Clemson fan and father of a student.
What you said ditto.
You make great points!
It would be even easier to leave the past behind if there weren’t a bunch of kooky alumni trying to bring back the statue.
“Time to move on”
Agree. But, sadly, Paterno’s son and family won’t move on. They continue to say Pa Joe was innocent which is bull. At a minimum joe knew and refused to deal with it or at worse was an enabler or even the worse a participant. Take your pick. But innocent ain’t an option.
