The native jumping spiders we have here are tiny, colorful and sort of cartoonish to the point of being cute. If they were venomous or could even bite, I’d dispatch them to whatever afterlife spiders might have without a second thought. But, to my knowledge they’re no threat to humans, and they eat insect pests, so I leave them be.

You MUST be a male. MOST women loathe spiders. I know that I do. I just killed one on my bedroom wall. I had to sacrifice a handkerchief. Ugh.
I have only the big, white cotton MEN'S handkerchiefs now. I kept my husband's old ones and even BUY new ones when those finally fade away.

Spider dead now.

I KNOW that they eat insect pests...but do they HAVE to be so ugly?

They are the only spider that has free rein in my house.
