Apparently they know he stabbed someone earlier, know that they took a good while to locate him, knows it was in a yard of a homeowner not associated with the man, knows officers deployed the k9 unit to try to subdue the man, know that the dog was stabbed, know that the dog was stabbed with garden shears, knows that the garden shears were a different weapon than the original stabbing, but does not know the circumstances of the officer involved shooting, but does know that both officers fired their weapons and knows they both hit him. Interesting. Yeah, well, they also know "As much as we love our dogs, a police canine is not considered an officer," he said. "Officers aren't going to shoot just because the dog is getting stabbed."
