Sorry for the delay, I’m distracted by the Cubs game.
I’ll take Bisping, Belfort. Manuwa, Struve, Bektic, Pickett
That was a nasty, nasty, very painful to watch armbar. I am real happy that was not my elbow!
Picket, choked out. Didn’t see it, was watching the game.
Some tool is vandalizing the Wikipedia page for this event.
I’m here but I’m really exhausted, so I may not be posting. It’s been a long past several days on the SC coast.
I’ll task Bisping (want Hendo to win), Mousasi, St. Preux and Struve.
It was a really nice series of successive rolling submission attempts that finally ended in a triangle sub.
Looks like Picket also suffered a broken nose, unless it was already crooked before this fight.
I have this sneaking suspicion that Bisping is going to beat Hendo. I hope my gut is wrong like it usually is, but Bisping seems to have gotten better over time.
None the less, I am pulling for the H-BOMB!
Evidently, I can’t even type a complete thought. :~D
Bisping takes the decision. Sounds like Hendo is calling it a day.
I was terribly distracted tonight, didn’t see much unfortunately so I don’t know who I thought won.
Sorry if anyone didn’t get a ping.
I got to see some highlights and the post fight interview on the post game show.
Lost of class and respect between Bisping and Hendo, I loved that!
Man, Bisping was wearing it on his face :O
But Bisping’s adjustments after being knocked down twice were really impressive. he has become a skilled fighter over the years.
Not the best at anything, but really quite good and most everything in the fight game. I gotta give him credit.
And he is a legit champion now. No way to question his belt.
Good going, Mike, you’re the champ!
If you haven’t heard there was a UFC Event scheduled for this weekend in the Philippines, but it was cancelled, the third cancellation in UFC history.
BJ Penn was to face Ricardo Lamas in the main event, an injury to Penn lead them to decide to scrap the whole thing with the lack of a compelling main event.
It was a Fight Pass card though so...meh.
Bellator 162 on Friday (10-21), the UFC returns November 5th with a TUF Latin America Finale Card.
I hate fight pass events. I don’t get it, can’t understand it.
Also, I don’t see how BJ Penn versus anyone is a compelling anything.
That guy has been done for quite sometime, and I can’t remember the last time I saw him in an exciting fight.
Well, people have heard of him, unlike most of the other names that were on that card. ;p
Penn needs to get back into retirement.
That is a good point.
I remember watching him many times many moons ago, and also being a fan of his despite him being somewhat arrogant at times.
But eventually you run out of big names in a sport like this, because careers are generally short lived.
This is where you have to hope that new blood will make names for themselves, which is why I think that the TUF Show is a good idea for the sport.
I have come across quite a few cards recently though where when I’m trying to make my pitifully bad picks, I can’t recognize any of the names or recall seeing any of them fight before, so that is troubling.
I saw BJ Penn Friday at 1800 HST in Costco on Hawaii...
LOL. What was he buying?
I went there the other day with my uncles. Got some Goose Island Root Beer and string cheese.
He had an entire cart full of goods.
He was with some really hot chick and a couple children.
I know he would destroy me, but I was surprised how small he is. He looks like a normal guy.
GSP has now terminated his contract with the UFC after failed negotiations, he’s now a free agent.
Wow, I didn’t expect that.

In other news, Rousey V. Nunes set for Dec 30th at UFC 207.
