You nailed it. Occasionally calls get blown, by both male and female officials. The fact that they are digging-in over one bad call by a woman sort of defeats their whole purpose in having her there in the first place.

And there you have the problem with affirmative action. Even if a candidate is good, many will still think they only got the job because of AA, and won’t take them seriously.

Yeah but, she's a GIRL! And thus held to a completely unfair standard! So we need to lower the standards, and hold her to a completely DIFFERENT set of unfair standards. So that the entire process remains fair.
