The dogs were recently rescued from an unlicensed backyard dog-meat farm in Jeonju, South Korea a city that draws tourists to its historic buildings, sports activities and food culture ranked among UNESCOs Creative Cities for Gastronomy.
A poll conducted by Gallup Korea last year showed almost two-thirds of Koreans under the age of 20 said they seldom eat dog meat.

Of course, the dogs are now in Maryland, so a target of opportunity for Oboomba’s dinner plate.
I really hate to telly you this, but in many cultures they eat their dogs, it was even done here at times too & when the grid falls here, in a few months time, we’ll be doin the same.
This is just a fact, it does not make it right, just a fact.

True! Americans don't eat all the meat that others around the world do.
Couldn’t we just create a safe zone on the border of Korea, rather than have unfettered mass dog immigration???
No disagreement here.
But as long as I can, I will support my dogs in the style they are accustomed to!
Note that it is said, the English Polar (Scott) explorers perished because they would not eat their dogs, the Norwegian team had them on the menu from day one.
