HOW IT WAS WON
It was a controversial past week for the Bonnabel football program, and things didn't get any easier as Landry-Walker quarterback Keytaon Thompson continued his stellar season of play, accounting for five touchdowns in the victory at home.
While Thompson was the contest's key player, there was an even bigger story taking place during pregame.
A video released across social media last week showed the Bruins' team kneeling during the playing of the national anthem. As a result, the Bonnabel's Alumni Association reportedly canceled several fundraising events.
On Friday night, however, only one Bruins player knelt during the national anthem, as the team instead locked arms.

I'm sure the Bonnabel team still has a future.
Ya gotta love it!!!
All the defense had to do was start in with “Oh say, can you see”, and the Bonnabel offense took a knee...
Now thats funny.
Key-taon? That’s somebody’s name? Oh.
Sounds like some type of fabric for women’s clothing.
Maybe the Bruins are starting to get the right message.
There is nothing noble about kneeling or refusing to stand during that song. Stop mixing pity party politics and what is supposed to be a fun time at watching a game.
