8.6 lbs for a rifle with a 16" barrel that doesn't even look like a heavy profile to me. The thing is a pig.

You can get a DMR configured AR-10 with a medium profile barrel or fluted heavy barrel to weigh in at 10 lbs with a loaded mag and optics attached.

And the aforementioned AR-10 will have an 18 to 20 inch barrel, which works better for 7.62. It suffers in a 16 inch barrel more than 5.56 does.
