I was doing some work at the NC Zoo the other day and had some rather large boxes left over. They are saving them for the lions. They said they do the exact same thing. :^)

We believe our cat does go to other houses, and/or has an alternate home. He was gone for HOURS one freezing cold day last winter, and when he arrived home, he was toasty warm so could not have been outside. Maybe in a garage?

When I was a child, we had a cat that ended up going back to our old house/neighborhood when we moved. My mother saw him there, after we had moved and she went back for the final cleaning of the old house.

Ours are configured for indoor use only, unless there is a leash and/or multiple human escorts. We have coyotes around here that snack on cats, and one of ours likes to hide in the middle of the biggest shrub in the yard, and make Mommy get the hedge clippers to tunnel in and get her.
