That fine, upstanding family man, Keith Lamont Scott, whose death is responsible for the rioting and looing in Charlotte, lived in San Antonio, Texas . I check the databases I have access to and looked at his arrest record just in Texas. He was arrested at least 5 times from 2002-2005 and convicted every time. Among the charges were “ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON;” “UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM,; “ASSAULT WITH BODILY INJURY,” and “EVADING ARREST.” Again, that’s at least 5 arrests in 3 years with convictions on all. There is of course the question about why he wasn’t STILL in prison for all those crimes—but it does prove that this man was a dangerous criminal, known to carry—and use—firearms in the commission of crimes. I attempted to copy just one of the records and will try to post it here.
