A federal prosecutor has issued a subpoena for the cellphone and other electronic records of Anthony Weiner after DailyMail.com revealed his underage sexting.
Preet Bharara, the prosecutor for the Southern District of New York, issued the order just a day after our revelation - and after the NYPD Special Victim's Unit began looking into possible charges resulting from the exchange between him and an out-of-state minor.

America's toughest prosecutor demands Anthony Weiner's cellphone records after DailyMail.com reveals his sexting relationship with girl, 15
Preet Bharara, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York, has subpoenaed the disgraced congressman's cellphone records
The high school girl, whose name is being withheld by DailyMail.com because she is a minor, revealed the online relationship began last January
The girl says she told him she was 15 and a sophomore in high school; messages confirm he knew she was underage
In one message Weiner tells the girl 'I would bust that tight p***y'
She claims Weiner asked her to undress and encouraged her to touch herself and say his name over video chat
Weiner did not deny exchanging 'flirtatious' messages with the teen.
He declined to comment on the specifics
No doubt his e-strange-d wife knows someone who could “wipe” his phone for him. But, I’m kinda thinkin’ she won’t be helping a weiner out.
Quick, Mr. Weiner, convert to Islam! That way you can claim it’s a cultural thing. All charges will be dropped.
It’s “funny” how the news media can run stories on Anthony Pecker and never mention Huma Abedein + Hillary.
I read somewhere his latest screen name was T-Dog.
You might be on to something there. All he has to do is to say that his wife is sympathetic to Islam, and he just wanted to do what Islam approves of.
She seems to be keeping a pretty low profile these days.
True, but no news about Hillary is good news.
I think that's in the article. For now, his name is bad dog, bad dog.
Weiner is gone...the question is will Clintons find his suicide note and two bullet holes in the back of his head or will he never be found or heard of again...
Preet should leave Weiner to the NYPD’s Special Victims. He has bigger gish to fry as the indictment of Cuomo’s closest aide yesterday shows. He also has a lot of work to do on Red Bill DeBlasio.
JFK Jr went up the Benghazi Murderess
just politically ... and ended DOA.
Hopefully, the AG will protect himself.
If the Clintons do anything smart here, they will stay out of it and let Weiner get convicted and sent away for about 10 years.
I don’t see that the Clinton’s would particularly care if Weiner got sent away for a few years.
Weiner knows way to much...the Clintons can’t take the chance of him trying to make a deal with what he knows...
I think so too. The Feds should enter this case only if it appears that the State won’t prosecute.
I had considered that. But despite what Weiner knows, I can’t see Preet, at this late date, trying to squeeze information out of Weiner which could impact the Presidential election. The election will be over by the time this comes to trial.
That is true, but unless Clinton is pardoned, he can give the information to who ever is Trump’s A.G.
There are the emails, there are a lot of things that the Clintons can be charged on after this election...he is a United States Attorney General...not just New York ... he can pass on information on the Clinton Foundation and anything else he finds if they bring her up on charges...
He would be but one of many people who have inside information on the Clintons. We’ll wait and see. I still don’t see this as a pathway to prosecute the Clintons, but any twist is possible.
She MIGHT have fled the country since she’s in deep doo doo about the server!
