I don't even bat an eye at these stories anymore. They've pulled this dozens of times with Mars, some huge "mystery" announcement the media blows up into OMG they've found aliens!!! Then when the announcement is made it's something like, "We may have found evidence of some trace molecule which can be a sign of life, but it can also be created by non-life geological processes as well, so with another 20 years and $20 billion in missions we can nail down whether it may or may not be important."
It is the old “Lucy and the football” trick. They pull away the football just before Lucy can kick it.
NASA = Never A Straight Answer
The military has a real space program—NASA’s mission is disinformation and a cover story.
For all the money we spend on entitlements, I consider space missions a proper Investment. Let’s just not blow it up on the launchpad.
But wait, for another $19.95 you get a set of steak knives...a $300 value!
