” I think we are heading towards Europe where dining out is a luxury. “
Fast food around here is changing its focus to the EBT market. There are a few places on my bad side of town where I won’t go because I feel threatened by the crowd. (I have an over abundance of caution because I carry and I don’t want to use.)
I’ve carried lunch from home now for the better part of 20 years. Eating out is something I only do if I have to.
Hormel Compleats @ $2.00 or less on sale and a 1/2 liter Diet Dr. Pepper @ $.50 or less on sale versus going out to Subway or similar for $10 to $12 with a drink, plus I lost a few lbs. compleats don’t require refrigeration, so I could keep a selection at my desk.
I’m now unemployed, so I make a big dinner that leaves me with leftovers for a few days and eat on that for a few days. This is “Taco Week”.
$15/hr is going to kill the restaurant and fast food business.
I'm the same way - much more polite, tolerant and cautious when armed because I don't want to escalate a situation and end up shooting when it could have been avoided.
Won't hesitate if actually threatened but my hope is to never have to point my weapon at another, much less shoot.
