Hope you enjoy.I Only Want To Be With You

Good stuff, even better:
Dusty Springfield - Son of a preacher man

Love Dusty, but for me it’s “The Look of Love.”
One of my favorites of all time. Even in the first year of the “British Invasion”, with all the new groups from England, this song got to me.
Love, Love, LOVE Dusty! Always. :)
Both are great, but I’m with you on TLOL
I HATE you guys that capture my attention and sidetrack me away from doing the stuff I HAVE to do .... after I find the earliest recording of Son Of A Preacher Man
Dusty Springfield - Wishin & Hopin (1964)

She had so many good ones.
While she had some great songs, She died much differently than the image she projected. Her last 30 years were in LA where she retired living with another women as a semi out lesbian.
Great song.
That and “Wishing and Hoping” were two of her best.
That happens in the music biz. I’ve heard rumors of Elton John being a homosexual (no way!) but I’m still wearing this little tune out (and may do so for the next 4 years if things don’t go well)

Did Janis Joplin ever cover her songs?
