The media has to look long and hard to find these types. College students tend to have a very shallow understanding of politics. Most of what they know comes from the echo chambers of the internet. They know how to ridicule and that’s about it.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. This interview was seen by the cameraman, the reporter, a video editor, and likely some sort of program manager, and they all agreed that her foolishness needed to be put on display. You'd think that common sense would have broken out, somewhere. Unless they all agreed with her OR were trying to stir up some controversy.

Or, they came up 15 seconds short and needed some filler. :-)

Oh I am not so sure about that. Of course it has been a long time since I was there, but I think they get heavy doses of politics, but sadly all from the leftist view point.

While I'll agree that their knowledge is shallow, they actually think they know more than they do, and that is always dangerous. To view yourself as knowledgeable while being incapable of seeing your true ignorance is a recipe for disaster. Finding these people is way too easy, and in fact the media rarely needs to look beyond their own ranks to find them. It is and has been a herd mentality for decades now.
