Maybe this was already posited by someone, but I don't recall. The Washington comPost wanted to help Hitlery change the subject from her disastrous candidacy and campaign, so "birther" crap was resurrected.
Suddenly CNN and even FOX got on board.
Pathetic. Trump stays on message, gets endorsed by great veterans, and the media is left looking like fools.
My guess is they'll try to keep this alive, by orders implicit or explicit from Team Shrillary.

Oh I’m sure except it turned into a live grenade that blew up in their hands. Now the news is about them having to defend their role (or not) in the genesis of the birther movement. The defense is that since Hillary herself didn’t send out the campaign email questioning Obama’s birthplace, she shouldn’t be accountable for it. That’s as lame as the Wells Fargo CEO saying that rogue employees were to blame for setting up fake accounts using customer identities.
yes, absolutely, it was a team effort from the Mediascum and Hillary’s campaign, trying to tag-team Trump with accusations of “racism” etc. Trump threw it back in their lying faces.
Now Hillary is tweet-raging against Trump, trying to stir things up some more on the alleged “racism” front. It is a transparent effort to change the subject from Hillary’s falling and failings.
If it is, it won’t work.
What is behind that is an attempt to firmly implant a thought crime into the American psyche, and if that particular one can be successfully implanted, there awaits a whole bunch of others. Camels nose in the tent, in other words.
It’s the equivalent of a spider trying to spin a web around its victim only to end up trapping itself with the web. Hillary is making herself look more incompetent everyday. Would not doubt if the President and the First Lady are already planning her 2020 presidential run. By the second week in October the word will go out secretly from the DNC and the White House to the donor class to ditch Hillary and concentrate on House and Senate seats.
I don’t care what Trump or anyone else ever says-I believe Obama is a Kenyan by birth. His paper trail has either vanished or been sanitized. NOTHING about him is legitimate. And it matters because this nation elected a non American as President. If that can’t be verified-and no one cares-what’s next, ONE, Mexican President for North America? What difference would it make, right?
Someone sent me an email this AM showing Breitbart in 2012 exposing his printed bio from the law review back in 1991 saying he was born in Kenya and grew up in Indonesia and Hawaii. Went on snopes of all sites and it’s confirmed true.
So Obama was the source of all of this. Email this AM said was due to movie in 1989 Out of Africa which dealt with the success of young black prince being successful in America.
Google it, it’s all there. Obama’s promotional booklet started this ball rolling.

It's to late...we know what she is, who she is, and how she operates and so does Trump...he used his ‘common sense’ today and dropped the biggest bombshell in all of the Clinton phony makeup and now there is going to be the end of the Clintons, and their foundation as soon as Julian drops his information...
It's all over for Hillary, she and Bill will be in prison with a lot of other ‘politicians’ and maybe past presidents that have been involved and government officials along with them...this will shake the political structure of our government as we know it to its core...

Outside of falsely claiming like Hillary did that he is denying his involvement, I don’t know what else they can do to keep it going.
I think they have to drop it. Especially since Trump turned the tables and said Hillary started it, and I finished it. There is no denying that Obama released his birth certificate after Trump got involved. Hillary can deny having started it, but that just puts her on the defensive and casts her as a liar again as the fact checks come in.
They’ll have to find another angle to paint him as racist. What else has worked in the past?
I think Trump is more brilliant than we've given him credit for. Without breaking stride he took Hillary!'s birther gambit and hung it around her own neck.
It's no great revelation to anyone who's been watching the passing scene and does not suffer drug-induced memory impairment that the issue was originally broached by Hillary! herself. Although we have not yet seen where this will end up, it remains true that the more she pushes on this the deeper the hole she'll dig for herself.
Trump will probably answer the call for an apology by saying something along the line of "sure, as soon as you apologize for bringing it up, I'll apologize for listening to you."
