So what is AR? A HUD? Google glasses by another name?
I look forward to trying VR someday. AR not so much.

AR is like MS Hololens. Think VR, but with stuff projected onto the world around you, instead of using a closed headset like Oculus Rift.

Truthfully VR is more strong in the entertainment department. AR is more useful in real world applications

Near I can tell, it’s like a personal headsup display that tells you what you’re looking at.

Hopefully one of our FReeper tech guys will chime in.

Reality coupled with CG, in 3D. This could be amazing.

Augmented is probably like Pokemon Go. It could be really fun. I don’t like VR much, though it’s kind of cool. But AR might be really fun and inviting to the general public. I was at Downtown Disney a few times during the Pokemon go craze, with people of all ages, races, types, hanging out and playing. It was a very fun community feel. I’d like more things like that to bring people together.
