Jeez, I remember returning from Nam on leave between
tours and seeing ST on a little TV in the Admin office
while trying to get some pay. As a science fiction buff
it was really cool to see a sf tv program.

I remember someone yelling at it in the dorm TV room: “Great! A spaceship with tail fins!”
Yeah, you are. I thought I was old, remembering talking about the show in grade school.
Yep, right there with ya. I remember watching Star Trek as a teen on it's original run.
I remember seeing it in the military. I thought it was crap with real cheap crappy sets.
I later read it was a budget film mostly for kids. They came up with the “Beam me up!” because it was too costly to make a landing ship and show it landing on each planet.
