Maybe it was. When I took girls to the drive-in movies, they often complained about my Russian hands and Roman fingers.

I remember when the Dallas Morning News stopped printing perp shots, back in the late sixties. Seems like newspapers aren’t afraid to anymore.

I remember those, too. They had a heated rear window to keep your hands warm while you were pushing the car.

The trick isn’t pronouncing her name. The trick is being able to pronounce it the same way twice...

I post them all, regardless of race, color or creed. That way there is no confusion!
Like this post from another thread.

I know our local papers are not afraid of printing mugshots. Nor are our local news stations afraid of showing mugshots.

Well I used to post articles with funny mugshots. I did not care what the race was. But apparently one of the mods took offence so I stopped.
The best mugshots I posted were actually white people.

All TRASH. Wandering shreds of human debris. And that name has to be up there on the list of Most Ignorant. If I may add to it- in a recent obit, surviving grandchild named....Royal Cola. I kid you not.

I stopped posting mugshots. One of the admin mods accused me of race baiting. I kid you not. Merely posting mugshots does not constitute race-baiting, IMHO. But when the mugshots are accompanied by gratuitous racial antagonism, or followed up by a masturbatory frenzy of insensitive comments, I can see why the admin mods might draw such a conclusion.
Vote Trump!

I’m seeing violet trying to pronounce Trebrekiante. That has got to be a contender for worst ghetto name ever. Two others that come to mind are Zhynbrekia and Cleavontasia.

You don’t. It was deliberately made so convoluted so that when people screw up pronouncing it, the girl has reason to stay perpetually “micro-agressed”.

If I may add to it- in a recent obit, surviving grandchild named....Royal Cola. I kid you not. I once heard of a pair of brothers, Lemonjello and Orangejello (pronounced luh-mahn-juh-low and oar-ahn-juh-low). Why do people do these things to their children?

Because they are usually ignorant and low class and they think adding ‘La’ and ‘Sha’ and ‘Qua’-not to mention apostrophes-to names sounds high class. Ironically it marks their kids as the opposite, resulting in offspring that defines not only the parents, but the culture; and more often than not identifies future criminals. Weird as it sounds, I can always count on local obits to provide laughs with the unbelievable-and unpronounceable- names. The phone book takes more work, but it’s a goldmine too.

Trebrekiante.
For a minute I thought she was named after the Treblinka death camp.
