Short version: Joe the Plumber is no dummy, just like most members of the manufacturing unions.

Union leadership is an excellent example of O'Sullivan's Law: "All organizations that are not actually right-wing will over time become left-wing."

98% of Public Sector Union members will vote for Clinton and they far outnumber the Private Sector Unions today.

The key is that non-union working people, those that build and make things, will vote Trump and working people's numbers far exceed those of both union sectors.

DUMBGRUNT - not sure how you got those figures.
But the report has the following on Page 1:

Highlights from the 2015 data:

• Public-sector workers had a union membership rate (35.2 percent) more than five times higher than that of private-sector workers (6.7 percent). (See table 3.)

Most union members are conservative. At least the better unions and even then most are. The leadership puts their money to the most friendly politician. This is true. And there are some union heads that are pure bat-crap crazy.

You are looking at the ‘rate’,’percentage’ not the actual head count.
