In fact, some people are so unhappy that they're camping outside of Brock Turner's house in Dayton, Ohio, armed to the teeth.

Not that I have anything favorable to say about the rapist or his sentence, but who are these people who have nothing better to do over Labor Day weekend than to camp outside the house of a rapist? Who pays these peoples' bills?

I as well, that being said, when justice is not served it drives people to assure justice is rendered. In this case justice was not served. The judge should be put in jail.

(CNN) At his own request, the California judge facing a recall effort for his handling of a sexual assault case involving a Stanford student will no longer hear criminal cases.

John and Ken out of LA KFI have been all over this. A recall effort for that judge is underway. Also the judge gave only a month to a man that had kiddie porn on his computer...over 75k pics. Some of babies.

Has a major history of letting pervs off with light sentences.

I disagree with this. If we are a country of Laws, then we are not a country of mob rule. This past decade, ‘activists’ have camped out and frankly threatened/ terrorized people whom they decided ‘deserved it’ or ‘hadn’t sufficiently paid penance’ or had otherwise violated their particular peculiar codes of ethics. It goes with mob rule, brownshirts, mob rule, hooligans, and everything NOT of the Rule of Law.

To me it is baying hounds and I find it very unsettling that it has become acceptable.

I agree whole-heartedly with your view. I fear for the time when this kind of mob justice is applied to those unjustly condemned either in a court of law or in the court of public opinion. Having said that, I believe that Judge Persky ought to face some kind of reprimand and so also the probation officer who recommended the 6 month sentence.

Bearing in mind that to give truth to him who loves it not is only to give him more multiplied reasons for misinterpretation, I'll say that the victim was passed out while the perpetrator was drunk. Would you be similarly unclear on this issue if he had sexually assaulted a diabetic who was momentarily passed out? How about a hot biker who crashed in front of his car, hit her head and was momentarily passed out?

“I fear for the time when this kind of mob justice is applied to those unjustly condemned either in a court of law or in the court of public opinion.”

People like Judge Persky are the reason we will have mob justice. You know it, I know it, we all know it.

That could have been our daughter that was raped. As Detective Sergeant Joe Friday would say “it happened to somebody’s daughter”. Therefore we should all be angry that justice was not properly served.

I am, indeed, angry that justice was not served. I’m outraged that the female probation officer who recommended the 6 month sentence failed to regard the victim as her own daughter, niece, cousin, etc.. And Persky needs to be removed or disciplined. Turner ought to have been languishing behind bars. He is not because of the probation officer and the judge.

That justice was not served, yes. That hooligans get to stand out in front of his house, baying, I do not agree.

In this country we still have the right to peaceful protest. To my knowledge none of them threatened to kill Brock. All they did was express their opinion on what should be done to rapists in general.

If these people don’t want a rapist in their neighborhood it is understandable. There is a school very close to that home and there is a law that says sex offenders are not to live near one. These people have every right to protest his being there as they most likely have kids attending that school, as well as daughters in college.
