Green Bay For months, Wisconsin coach Paul Chryst and his players jousted with college football pundits.
A daunting schedule that includes five teams ranked in the top 15 of the coaches poll?
The players were told it was a death march.
The unranked Badgers countered by saying they saw opportunities, not a path toward oblivion.
Opportunity No. 1 of the 2016 season came Saturday at Lambeau Field and Chrysts players seized it on a national stage with a stunning 16-14 victory in front of an announced crowd of 77,823.

I was there!
They played great. And these were kids that started for the first time. Wisconsin showed great poise. But LSU had the game in their pocket and gave it up at the end. The one sucker hit at the end should not stop here. That LSU player needs to sit out a game or three.
I was at the Ice Bowl
I did not realize it when I saw it live. But that guy needs to have a large suspension. Not only was it a cheap shot, but it was a helmet to helmet hit. That guy needs to spend the rest of the season on the bench thinking about what a jerk he is.
I have to be a registered member of Twitter to see it? Nice. /s
My Wisconsin born wife is happy. The fire Les websites will start up again. They get Jacksonville State, last year’s runner up to North Dakota State in Div 1AA (yes, I still call it that) last year. Gamecocks won their opener Thursday night, and come to LSU next week. Money game for Jax State. Play that game in the upper sized schools to get that big pay check to pay all the bills. Jax State came very very close to taking out Auburn last season with the sorry Tigers were ranked #6 I think, early in the season.
Did the Wisconsin player survive?
A good day is any day that LSU loses. Especially nice because Zero U also lost!!! Miles and Stoops LOSERS! YES!
Love it when the Big Ten spanks the SE conference.
Interception by him to seal the game. He was down when he originally caught it, jumped up excited, then got leveled. Definitely a dead ball.
Love a great defense.
AGREE!!
La-La-La-Lambeau!
He got `cankled’: either LSU’s 75 (?) is one malicious SOB or he was too stoopid to see that the ball was intercepted, the Badger was on the ground and the ball blown dead.
I’m thinking it was the former—that was one of the cheapest shots I’ve ever seen in college ball.
Nasty. His coach should nail him as that kind of a thing could easily cost them a game down the road.
I agree. At first it looked like he hit a player running with the ball. When I looked again, it was a cheap shot and the player was down.
LSU has to show up for more than five minutes in a game in order to win.
