By the way, I saw this tour a month or so ago, best concert of my life, saw GnR in 88 too, and nearly 100 other shows. By far, this was hands down the best show ever. 3+ hours non-stop, Axl was an absolute monster on stage, it must be Slash and Axl being together again, but it freakin rocked, very professional show too.
Your review makes me think maybe I should.
I’ve ready every review of their shows on this tour, all are good to excellent, they played almost every song from Appetite for Destruction. It was on the edge of being crazy, I had chills during most of the show, you had to be there, but it was legendary, if you’re into Rock, then this is the show and there is no other like it.
Oh, I took my 19 year old, he was in absolute shock, he loved it of course, but had no idea “things like this took place”, lol. Seriously, it was killer.
Good for them. Too bad I don’t like their music.
Love singing karaoke of Sweet Child O’ Mine and
November Rain, then Watching people amazed this clean cut dude can belt out a difficult rock song with stage craft.
I wanna see these guys again
I also saw them in ‘88. Your post caused me to look up the date of that show. As crazy as it seems, I saw them 28 years ago today at Starwood Amphitheater outside of Nashville. They opened for Aerosmith and absolutely stole the show. Aerosmith seemed like an afterthought.
Saw the Philly show and first New York show.Outstanding! My 37 yr old son said it the best concert he attended.BTW,Met Life show was better than the Philly show.
Can’t wait to,see Axl with AC/DC on 9/20 in Philly.
Ha, very cool, we’re getting old but not too old to rock !! Sadly, the US leg of the tour is done. What is amazing is they are said to be writing new music, and we’re talking Axl, Slash, Duff, possibly Izzy, if they put out an album like that woah !!
Puleeeeze GNR still rocks today, yea they’re older now but they still rock.
How does Axl look these days? The last youtube I watched was a concert in Rio some years ago and he was old Elvis fat. Has he shaped up?
