Donald Trump ,Mexican President and I Didnt Discuss Payment of the Wall 8 31 16
Off course not. This was not the type of meeting for that. However saying the wall can be built is step one. These media people are such buffoons.
The Mexican President called for increased investment, on the part of Mexico, in border infrastructure! He is going to pay for the wall. He just wants to get the best deal. :-)
Contains the presumption that a wall will be built.
VERBATIM:
Trump: “We did discuss the wall , we didnt discuss payment of the wall. That will be for a later meeting
Trump will TAX remittance payments to Mexico in order to pay for the wall. Tax on $25 BILLION per year is a lot of money. There’s not a damn thing Mexico can do about it so THERE’S NOTHING TO DISCUSS.
Trumps is being polite. Trump was the guest. It is not polite to discus money at a social event, which this was. It was a “get to know your” type of social event. Trump can bring up the money part in another venue.
We already know who will pay for it: Mexico. Next discussion...
The wall will be built - that was mentioned loud & clear today :)
But, but, but, the liberals have said Trump can’t and won’t build a wall.....
Just another thought...How many jobs will Trump create by building a 2,000 mile wall????
Enormous!!!!!!!!!
TRUMP should say that we will pay for half of the Wall
Make it fair & everyone will be happy
I think The US will pay to build the wall. I think Mexico with American companies are going to build it, creating a lot of jobs. Then I think they are going to take the show on the road down to Mexico’s southern border, inviting illegal Mexicans living in the US to leave the country in exchange for work.
Then they can apply to legally immigrate to the US.
We already are paying for the wall, to the tune of $130 BILLION per year in subsidizing illegal immigration. Court and imprisonment costs for illegal alien felons is costly enough.
Who pays for the wall is a chip that can be traded for something else. And its a worthless chip at that. The wall is a jobs program. Both sides can afford a wall. And both sides benefit if the wall cuts into the profits of gangs in Mexico and the US. Drugs, guns, prostitutes and illegal aliens will slow dramatically with a wall.
I never heard any of the politicians saying ALL of these 5 points Trump is saying including building the wall. More proof all politicians are owned by Soros and other rich globalist donors , practically ALL politicians are corrupt including Cruz all except Trump. 99% of politicians never even said one of these points.
Trump Goals with Mexico...
1. End Illegal immigration
2. Have a Secure Border...sovereign right
3. Dismantle Drug cartels & movement of drugs into USA
4. Improving Nafta...must be updated and improved
5. Keep manufacturing wealth in our hemisphere
They are pre-empting Trump’s speech on the networks claiming he is going to announce he is backing down from having Mexico pay for it.
The talking heads are now saying that he is going to cut off funding to sanctuary cities and cut off much needed welfare to illegals to pay for the wall, which they are contesting means the American people are paying for it.
No, I don’t think so, I think that’s a fine way to pay for it. That’s still Mexico paying for it IMHO.
I’ll GLADLY pay for the wall if you cut off welfare to illegals and stop funding sanctuary cities, as a matter of fact I HOPE that’s how the wall is paid for.
Go Trump!
This is my view on the eventual compromise that they will reach, and Nieto said today that there were benefits to Mexico that could justify this position
Spot on....payment for the wall is an opening bid. If I was Mexico I wouldn’t pay for it, and since US wants the wall and will be the ones building it, I’d expect the US to pay for it. Fact is, a likely higher tax on all the monies wired there will help pay for it, but that’s just gravy. Who cares ?
Discuss is the key word. “You’ll pay” and “No, no somos pagues” does not qualify as a discussion.
