I went there once. Did the old Chevy Chase routine and hightailed it out of there. I hate heights and being on the edge of such a fatal fall. I don't know why people want to do what this young woman below is doing. Death wish!

Me, too. Just looking down makes me queazy. Skiing doesn’t. Guess it has to do with control or something.

It’s not the fall that kills you; it’s the sudden stop at the end.

That’s the OTHER Grand Canyon, Sam — aka Grand Canyon of the Colorado River — in Arizona. The fall occurred at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River — in Wyoming.

Just the first look at that picture put a heart in my throat sinking feeling.
Looking at a vista like the Grand Canyon is OK, but looking at depth is another story.

OMG, it is making me queasy just to look at the picture. Do you think it is photoshopped? I hope so!

I read elsewhere that the fall occurred at 3 AM.
“Socializing” near the top of a 1000 ft. cliff in the middle of the night, presumably with alcohol involved, is definitely Darwin Awards territory.

On the rare occasion that I’m at a place like that, I lay down on my belly 10 feet back from the edge and scooch forward so just my head is over the edge and I can see down the cliff.
I don’t mind heights, but the idea of falling from them bothers me for some reason, and I’m not one to take unnecessary risks.
