For this in CT - they’re playing at Mohegan Sun tonight.

Cause i’ve seen young reliable singers mess up.
Bon jovi, Axle Rose (well, not so reliable) :)

45 years...there’s just something wrong about these rock groups that just keep playing until they’re octogenarians. They remind me of politicians and houseguests who just don’t know when to leave. Who really wants to see a 75 year old Mick Jagger strutting across stage? Do they do it to embarrass their grandkids, or is it just that Social Security doesn’t pay?

I THINK with that song they were trying to present the first-person perspective of the resurrection of man after the apocalypse.
Only this guy was resurrected to condemnation and eternal fire.

Not very. But Ozzy has always had a hard time remembering lyrics, there’s live stuff from Sabbath in the 70s which is terrible because he just gets lost and start vamping crap. He went to prompters in the 80s and never looked back. There’s a few guys that cheat once in a while, Mike Ness of Social Distortion has guys come out with lyrics sheets for a handful of songs that just don’t seem to want to stick in his head. I say if you need the tools use the tools.

Do not miss that show.
It's as good of a live show as any band has ever been capable of.

I concur with you, Mariner. Geezer Butler is no slouch either. The fact that Ozzy is still alive and semi-coherent still boggles the mind. I guess Bill Ward blimped out too much to tour. Tony Iommi Rules.

On reading those lyrics, I’m strongly reminded of the “trench poets” of World War I. Perhaps that was an influence?

I agree. It’s not lip synching :)
Meanwhile Keith Woods is still pretty sharp. Ugly as hell, but rich and still pretty sharp.
He flies in the face of the studies that show how drugs affect you over time. But I’ll trust he’s the exception, not the rule!

They do it because they’re the best that ever was and most of contemporary so called rock is crap.
