Four people -- one man and three women -- are now facing charges in connection with a child pornography investigation.
The investigation began in January but it was expanded in April when police arrested a 45-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman who allegedly made, produced and distributed thousands of child sexual abuse images and videos.
An investigation into the couple began in January after receiving a tip about a cache of child pornography that had been uploaded onto the internet.
The couple was arrested on April 25 after police executed a search warrant at their west-end Toronto home.
Police allege that they located thousands of child sex abuse images and videos that were stored on external hard drives, computers and cell phones during the execution of the search warrant.
As well, police say the evidence located in the home led them to identify and arrest two other female suspects whom the male suspect had allegedly produced child sex abuse material with in the past.
Police say that the male suspect met the second woman online and in person between January 2000 and January 2006 and engaged in the sexual abuse of a child.
The pair also made, possessed and distributed child sex abuse images and videos during that time, police say.
According to police, the male also met the third woman online and in person, though the timeframe for their interaction is not known.
At some point, police allege that the pair made a child sexual abuse video together.
Police say they are concerned that there could be additional victims in the case that they have not yet identified.
“We are concerned that there may be more victims. We are also concerned that there may be more people that met with the accused and are involved in the sexual exploitation of children,” Detective Michael Sabadin told reporters on Thursday. “We are asking anyone who may have information with regards to this to call police.”
As part of their ongoing investigation, police have released the emails addresses and usernames that are linked to the suspects.
The male suspect used Retodeviant, Byrd_Dawg, Sir Dirk, retrodeviant@gmail.com, retrodeviantdawg@gmail.com, retrodeviant2004@hotmail.com, angrybyrdrigs@gmail.com and Byrd_D@hotmail.com.
The first female suspect, meanwhile, used Doll, Dirty Doll, pretty_bitter_pill@hotmail.com, and dirtyslavedoll@yahoo.com.
The male suspect, identified as 45-year-old Jason (Byrd) Dickens, has been charged with 26 total offences, including possession of child pornography, make child pornography, sexual assault and bestiality.
The woman who was arrested back in April has been identified as 31-year-old Dylan Anne McEwen. McEwen is charged with 10 offences, including possession of child pornography, make child pornography, sexual assault and bestiality.
Police say that the bestiality charge is unrelated to the alleged sexual abuse of children.
The two other woman charged in the case include a 57-year-old London resident who faces 10 sexual-exploitation related charges and 25-year-old Thunder Bay resident Tina Ewen, who faces one count of making child pornography.
Investigators are not releasing the name of the 57-year-old London woman in order to protect the identity of the victim but said she went by the usernames Susanbigurl and Angeldadlost online.
McEwen and Dickens are scheduled to make an appearance in court on Sept. 1.
Police say that they believe the male suspect is the same Byrd Dickens, who previously worked as an actor and had a recurring role on Degrassi in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Police, however, say they do not believe there is any connection between Dickens’s work as an actor and the crimes he is alleged to have committed.

No death penalty. This deserves the treatment the guy got in the movie “Seven” where he was kept alive tied to a bed, tortured until he chewed off his own tongue. Video it and broadcast it.

I just saw this post and another post where a 2 year old was killed after “step dad” decided to have a boxing match with the child.
I’d take the death penalty for these animals one step further. I would allow an exception to “cruel and unusual” punishment in these cases. I would take the criminal, place them in a concrete sarcophagus, and bury them alive (with a source for air) ... starving to death in pitch black and virtually unable to move is my idea of a horrible death.
I cannot believe I just read these articles. What’s even more frightening is that the sick are out there walking among us. A person I know (hell, grew up with) was arrested for spreading child pornography a few years ago. That person is dead to me now. While he was always flakey, one would have NEVER thought he’d do that. He admitted he did it to a judge. I’ll never talk with that person again. I don’t even want to know what prompts these sick people to PRODUCE that garbage!

The Federal (read: communist) public schools are in the process of making premature, amoral sexualization of children a legal mandate without parental consent.
Forcibly teaching kindergartners about sex - especially about unnatural sex - long before they are physically, emotionally, and spiritually ready for it, will render them vulnerable to exploitation, and will protect their victimizers from prosecution.
Obergefell v. Hodges will ultimately enable pedophilia unless it is overturned.
