WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) — 5-year-old William Evertz decided with his family to make this “Kindness Day.”

William’s been doing chores and earning money so he can help other people.

“We watched a video of someone helping the homeless and next thing you know it kind of took off,” says his mother Tara Evertz.

He started “Kindness Day” by dropping off lunch to his heroes at the Winslow Township Police Department.
