No, Molly will not go for that. And neither will Daliyah be happy to be pushed aside.
Agree-the position of 2nd wife would not be acceptable to her-she has a lot of Western values-probably considers being anything other than 1st/chief wife being just a concubine with a title-some medieval kings in Britain and Europe had “official mistresses”, but that was a few centuries ago...
Maybe there will be a rivalry-or a knock-down-drag-out between wife and mistress-that would keep things interesting.
She already was a second wife, back in the Bedouin village.
There’s been enough soap opera lately. I think they get everything all set for war and then that’s the end of the season.
I did chuckle at Leila with her sister telling her about the poor kid she put up to taking photos. “Well, that was stupid, wasn’t it?”
I’d forgotten about her former status as a Bedouin-she definitely would not be willing to go there again.
I expected the war to be all set up and ready to go a couple weeks ago-I wish they’d just get on with it-I want to see if Barry will really take Molly and Sam and head home to Cali when things are settled, or find some excuse to stay in the palace where his every wish is catered to.
That was a good comeback-obviously Leila’s sister was hoping she’d be freaking out over the photos of her and the general-but Leila spoiled her fun...
It’s nice and tidy when Molly’s in the loony bin. I wouldn’t be surprised if Barry and/or Daliyah work to get her to go back.
I hope neither of them goes there-that and summarily executing a few enemies would make Barry almost as much of a-tyrant-as Jamal was-the caliphate is wrongly telling people he is one, and I’m pretty sure when the real shooting war starts they will shout it even louder-why give them give them ammo by locking his wife away...
True, if you’re rooting for Barry. But I think the show has always been about him becoming the Tyrant.
Shame that this show has been inconsistent and probably isn’t getting the audience it needs. This season especially I think it’s hitting the stride real well.
I think he’s about to live up to the tyrant label-maybe Molly will push him in the direction of revenge of the scorched earth variety for their daughter’s murder-she was all for offing everyone involved after it happened. Barry is already haunted-seeing the daughter’s spirit in bloody clothes, demanding vengeance-maybe his less admirable family traits are coming out, and he’ll have all their hideouts bombed/droned/torched without hesitation-that would be pretty cold-but justified...
