Folks, Connecticut’s gun stance aside, let’s be honest about other parts.

It’s a party, you are not supposed to have guns or gunfire. BYOB, not BYOG. Nor should everyone have to be packing because they are worried about a random guest going on a shooting spree.

There is a real distinct possibility that the guns used were not owned legally in any state.

The shooters were most likely the demographic that has a penchant and history of doing this type of thing and no law was going to stop them. Almost assuredly there were other guns at the party or nearby but they were not deployed in time.

Connecticut has strict gun laws yes, but in this day and age if you have to be sold on getting a gun then you haven’t been paying attention for the last 30 years and you weren’t really sold on the idea anyway.

Louisiana has some pretty liberal gun laws and I distinctly remember a story from the last two years where one guy shot a dozen or more people at a street gathering. Point is, it can happen anywhere democrats gather.

Yes, it is not the levels of gun control, it it the number of available criminals a locale has that drives crime stats.
