I think they use the gorillas for cheap labor to manufacture the stuff.
Also fewer OSHA compliance problems with all the nasty chemicals.
Seems to work well enough.
Never used it, yet. Ford Motor supplied what they called Weatherstrip Adhesive, a yellow compound that once sets up in a short time is quite tenacious in holding capacity. Was good stuff!
