I wanted to see the Perseid shower, but we’re having very dramatic thunderstorms around here. The cloud to ground lightning around 6 p.m. was awesome! Then it was raining buckets. I went out to the store during the lull, as we’re supposed to have more of the same in an hour or so.

Nothing to see but clouds here between Akron and Cleveland! 4th year in a row!

Question, on the twitter link there is a map of the US with excellent and poor viewing areas. Is that due to atmospheric weather conditions?
Would some string cheese help?
