I was listening to FOX News, while driving home, on Sirius XM and I just heard some clown (I didn't catch his name) say that any of the other 16 candidates who ran in the primaries could beat Hillary Clinton in the general election, but Trump can't.

So my question to this moron would be: Well, how did Trump beat the other 16 candidates? If one of the other 16 candidates was that much of a vote getter he, or she, would have been standing on the podium in Cleveland accepting the nomination, not Donald J. Trump.

This is the idiotic neverTrump mantra that one of the others would be stronger in the general, despite the fact that “the other” would lose the 13m Trump primary voters.

Truly delusional.

I don’t accept the person’s position in this case but I can understand why he might make it. The transitive property doesn’t apply in politics (or sports). There are way too many factors and dynamics going on to woodenly say that because A beat B and B beat C that A must be able to beat C.

Such a stupid argument. No one got any real base of support in the primaries. All the favored candidates basically bottomed out. Jeb, Scott Walker, Christie, Marco etc. Zero base of excitement. THe last two standing were Cruz and Kasich. Kasich never moved the needle outside of Ohio, and Cruz has a base of conservative support from his previous leadership, but garnered no additional support at all. It was not even close.

I could argue with as weak as Clinton is with the avalanche of negatives over the emails, FBI, etc that some others might have ended up possibly competitive as a viable alternative, but I think the media would have done the same thing and buried any one of them with the daily assault. The media’s entire objective is to make Hillary the lesser of two evils, and they’ll bury any candidate to do it.

If the MSM did their job, my goldfish, with some good PR could beat Clinton.

There are too many insane nutjobs with opinions that are demonstrably uninformed. Add ignorance of history to the mix and it's a monumental waste of time to refute them.

There is a bigger more immediate problem.

Shrillary.

She leaves her sickbed, gathers her flying monkeys and specially chosen audience of morons, and continues to make serious asinine statements, her opinions, wrapped in words suggesting that they are facts; speaking of future events as if she were the new uglier but wiser version of the Oracle of Delphi.

The same tired assertions that only imbeciles can swallow because they don't know better.

The fat, ugly, arrogant, unindicted fat cow felon is the enemy.

Let's concentrate on her.

Ignore the little mice scurrying around her lying royal ugliness...

Let me guess - they all had “electability” - Like Romney.

Exactly, every one of them was exactly as electable as McCain and Romney. Every one of them.

I don't buy that.
It totally applies.

Cute, throwing "sports" in there, to further muddy the issue.

"Transitive," as commonly understood, is misapplied here.
It is more a math or logic metaphor.

I think the media just want a 'rat to win. They will back anyone who they believe can win, or failing that, they will back the 'rat they are stuck with. In 2008, it was assumed that Hillary would be the nominee. After the first primary in which Obama won, the media began to switch allegiance to him. I think the media preferred the young clean-cut (and black) Obama to the Arkansas white-trash Clintons, so they threw her under the bus. Had Obama not come along, they would have stuck with her. This year, no Obama emerged to challenge her.

When there was only three candidates, two of them could not beat Trump.

One of the biggest factors was the SEC primaries being moved from late spring to early March.

Even so, recall that Cruz or Bush or Rubio or Jindal were expected to sweep those. Instead, Trump sailed through the south with ease.

Trump had the Big Mo [momentum]. Cruz did gain a few western states, but his ‘firewall’ to stop the Trump momentum was Indiana. When that went to Trump, the race for the nomination was basically over.

These people are NOT DELUSIONAL.

Please, wake up. Conservatives need to WAKE THE F UP.

Liberals and establishment GOP have been making fake arguments and wild accusations for years, and us good little naive conservatives take what they say at face value and fall for their nonsense EVERY SINGLE TIME.

We'll analyze it, dissect it, debate it, and try to make sense of it.

It's a lot of energy and time wasted.

The guest you speak of isn't delusional.

HE'S LYING!!!

He's creating a false narrative, spinning, and lying.

And it's just that simple.

I think it’s like the 50 idiots from last week....players from the Reagan-Bush I-Bush II era....who all noted that Trumped wasn’t qualified and not to vote for Trump. After you read their lead-in....claiming they were Republicans, Conservatives, and very qualified....it took 12 seconds to determine that they were incompetent, use-less, and ‘bush-league’. By signing the document and recommending you vote for Hillary....they’d destroyed whatever reputation they’d ever gained.

There are a lot of idiots standing up and saying they are conservative and you need to take a moment and either find logic in their commentary, or dismiss them as just fake GOPers.

The Cheap Labor Express owned the other 16 candidates and are ticked off that the citizens were able to nominate a candidate not beholden to them.
In every election since the last amnesty they have prevented the citizens from electing a President who would stop the illegal alien inundation.
There has been a 30 bipartisan poicy of non-enforcement of immigration laws and borders and they are not about to let us reverse that.
That is why they are fighting tooth and nail to defeat Trump.
