Must be nice to be above the law and never have to suffer any consequences for your actions — and indeed, to be on the verge of being rewarded with the Presidency of the United States after years of treasonable carelessness (at best).

Hillary Clinton recklessly discussed, in emails hosted on her private server, an Iranian nuclear scientist who was executed by Iran for treason, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said Sunday.

“I’m not going to comment on what he may or may not have done for the United States government, but in the emails that were on Hillary Clinton’s private server, there were conversations among her senior advisors about this gentleman,” he said on “Face the Nation.” Cotton was speaking about Shahram Amiri, who gave information to the U.S. about Iran’s nuclear program….

Iran confirmed on Sunday that Amiri had been hanged for treason.

“This person who had access to the country’s secret and classified information had been linked to our hostile and No. 1 enemy, America, the Great Satan” a spokesman for the Iranian judiciary said. “He provided the enemy with vital and secret information of the country.”

Amiri disappeared while on a religious pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in 2009, but he then resurfaced a year later in the U.S., where he visited the Iranian interest section of the Pakistani embassy and demanded to be sent home to Iran. While Amiri told reporters that he was held against his will by both the Saudis and the Americans, U.S. officials said he was receiving millions of dollars for information he provided about Iran’s nuclear program.

The scientist shows up in Clinton’s emails back in 2010, just nine days before he returned to Iran.

Lafarge also has close ties to Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Apart from being a regular donor to the Clinton Foundation,
Clinton herself was a director of Lafarge in the early 1990s,
and did legal work for the firm in the 1980s.
During her connection to Lafarge, the firm was implicated
in facilitating a CIA-backed covert arms export network to Saddam Hussein.
An investigative report by the French daily Le Monde
revealed in June that the corporation, the world’s leader in construction materials,
had paid taxes to ISIS middlemen, as well as other armed groups in Syria,
to protect its cement business operations in the country.
But the Le Monde story only covered a fraction of the revelations.
Previous investigations by Zaman al-Wasl, an independent news outlet
run by elements of the Syrian opposition, revealed that Lafarge
had even regularly bought oil from Isis.

The conversation suggests they were trying to coopt him and the effort failed

Either he offered and then lost his nerve
or they approached him to entice him - but he lost his nerve (”psychological issues”)

or they just picked the wrong guy who wouldn’t or couldn’t help them

Likely he had family back home that was in danger
Not likely the GOI lets nuclear scientists with insider info just travel abroad without being watching or pressured by knowledge they have their family back home as insurance

So for whatever reason he got away from the US as fast as he could, even going to his own county’s interest section to get help to get out of the USA - which does NOT sound like a spy

Poor guy must have overestimated his importance to the regime or the Rev Guard’s capacity to forgive him for being tempted or its ability to not be paranoid about what happened to him in US hands

Or someone just didn’t pay ransom to get him out so executing him was a foot in the butt to Obama and Hillary

Makes one wonder if this was related to Hillary’s “secret mission to Iran” in 2012 -if that did happen- and depending on when they arrested this guy

Apparently shortly after she discussed him in emails. Which means it is either a simple coincidence, or the Iranians had near real-time access to her server, and decided this guy was enough of a threat to take action on.
