Uhmmmm...people who floss don’t have bad breath and definitely have better gums.

The article is as dumb as the author

I don’t floss every day, but sometimes I do. Many times flossing is the only way to get particles of food out from between the teeth. I’ve always been told food in the gums can cause infection. I will continue to floss when I feel like I need it. This seems like common sense to me.

This sounds like something ObamaCare would advocate. Why?
So that everybody would have grungy teeth and gums, and no one would ever be judged for it ever again!

I read somewhere 20+ years ago that if i brushed my teeth including baking soda (reduce acids in the mouth promoting tooth decay) and rinsing your mouth with h2o2 (killing the bacteria causing decay) and no more cavities.

Since then I haven had a single cavity.

I was hoping for the Zappa reference.

Food between the teeth is very irritating and not attractive either.

The smell of decaying food on your breath is even worse, if you are the type to care.

Don’t floss. Have bleeding gums.

A noob geologist at my old place of work was espousing the supposed benefits of not bathing daily. I told him to think about it rationally, you’re going to greatly reduce the chances of passing on your genes with that idea...

The flossing doesn’t work is the same schtick, I’m beginning to wonder if these types of articles aren’t out to make their contribution to restricting western population growth further.

I Thought people would know where to get and listen to the song without an outright plug. I thought of putting in the reference, but I was trigger happy. And for those that missed it, I wrote: " I might be moving to Montana soon,... Meaning- youtube: Frank Zappa- Montana.

One of these days I’ll learn how to link to youtube for instances such as this.

Four out of five Dental hygenists (?) recommend using zircon-encrusted tweezers for those tough to reach areas.

Hey that’s good too. I even swish colloidal silver in my mouth for about 3 to 5 minutes. Not every day but about once a week.

I just eat organic coconut oil. 1 tablespoon daily.

You suck oil between your teeth for a few minutes. By the end it goes from clear to yellowish cloudy. It pulls bacteria out of your gums and from between the teeth and tongue. You spit it out and really rinse out your mouth to get everything out.

Sesame oil can work, other people use a few other oils. Coconut oil could work but I woild rather eat coconut oil. Not veggie cooking oil, needs to be better than that.

I believe flossing has a lot to do in preventing receding gums. You can see the tooth roots of old people that don’t floss.

I am not one to conform with the wisdom of the herd. If a person avoids reading then they must rely upon the herd.

If no studies exist, then floss effectivity is UNKNOWN.

I almost never flossed, ever, and still have all my teeth with no between teeth cavities. I have high guilt at the Dentist, it is always good news, so he makes no money. Just met a man getting 3 teeth pulled. He suffers from ignorance. Sad & shocking hearing those stories.

Dental health is more what you put inside that mouth. Just like getting canker sores in the mouth means eating poorly.

Now, women are not getting yearly pap smears because they are not ‘necessary’ .

Sounds like a particular administration is chipping away at the little things that just might save an American’s life.

How about next taking down American dentistry for pulling way too many teeth, whether it is the routine extraction of wisdom teeth or the removal of “cracked” teeth where there is no clear explanation for tooth pain.

Why would a dentist encourage less cleaning of teeth and candy for kids?
