Casablanca: A four-storey building collapsed on Friday afternoon in the Sebata neighborhood in Casablanca, killing four people and injuring 19 others.

Six people have been reported to be in critical condition.

Research operations are underway to find survivors under the rubble of the building that collapsed at around 16:30, reported Arabic daily Al-Jazirah.

Multiple threads reporting, hard to get hard numbers. First heads-up from TVC News Nigeria Live, an interesting source in itself... but not anything as entertaining as INDIA TODAY, now reporting on a "bomb scare at the Olympics."

When I lived in Istanbul in the 50s I remember that whenever there was an earth tremor a couple of apartment buildings would collapse somewhere in the city. My daddy explained that there was no steel in the concrete. They just poured it into the molds with no reinforcement at all.

Heck of a lot of coincidence going on. If I were a cynic, I’d wonder if for ISIS their Olympic event is “terrorist bombings that seem like something else”.

LOL, I saw that as well.

But maybe they’re planning to publish a study in six months or so about where possible victims might be located?
