Since 2000, the union funneled about $30 million into political races...
The union has a membership of 4,652, and assets of $37 million, records show....
A government filing shows that in 2015 Dougherty received $406,532 from the union, including $226,754 as salary...

~$400 per member!
per year, or 6,000 per member during the 15 year period. Yep, highway robbery for the union mob boss.
Corrupt unions in philly?????
And now they are looking for him? He must be voting for Trump. ; )
Electrician’s union...
If there are charges, wonder if they’ll be positive or negative?
I thought electrician union leaders were usually well insulated from things like this.
With most of their work being AC, hard to say?
And at the same time, everything must be properly grounded!
If not insulated, at least they should be well-grounded individuals.
Damn!
I’m trying hard not to be negative about what you did to me ;)
Who remembers Nicky Scarfo?
Cheer up, and always remember that ‘green is ground, the world around!
There was a major article in 1999 on the Mob in Philadelphia and S. New Jersey. Author’s last name was Paul (?) Anastasia. (Wonder if he was the brave Greek writer who fought the KGB/Greek Communist Party in the 1970’s with the help of British millionaire Lord Goldsmith?)
It lays out all the Mob’s connections with corrupt unions.
Google “Scarfo and Philadelphia Mafia” or “Angelo Bruno and Philadelphia Mafia”. THe 1999 article should show up.
It is long and detailed. You’ll love it.
Google does!
OH MY!!
Status Alive
You don't see too many described like in that way!
Thank you and your relentless positive nature good sir! :D
Shocking to think, anyone would believe that I have a good nature!
Hope he gets zapped by the Feds.
I see that George Anastasia wrote a book about the Philly mob...Blood and Honor: Inside the Scarfo Mob--The Mafia's Most Violent Family
From one of the articles I read, the Scarfo lawyer tried to keep Anastasia out of the courtroom..."By putting Anastasia on that (witness) list earlier this month, the defense, in effect, had barred Anastasia from visiting the courtroom as a reporter." The judge overruled that.
The odd thing...in every other paragraph in the article, Scarfo and his "family" members/henchmen were going to jail. Once under the Fed microscope, they were constantly being investigated. Those investigations often led to prison time. What a crazy life.
Thanks for the references...interesting reading! (Disclosure..I've lived in Philly AND Sicily.)
They better amp up the investigation.
No way!
They are out of juice!
