Conservative Republicans on FOX News accuse President Obama's $400 million deal with Iran as being ransom money and an illegal money laundering operation.
Let whoever has eyes, see.
Olie North said that when he was doing the Iran side of Iran-Contra, the first thing the Iranians wanted was the Shah’s $400M. He said no, but apparently Obama/Kerry couldn’t manage a no on that.

Long answer: Of course it was.

It should have been a simple $400m ACH. Why wasn't it?
Obviously, because it violates US law in some fashion Zero's Regime feels compelled to hide.
Zero's survival as President is a matter of two thirds of the Senate. Would it have been possible to muster two thirds of the Senate over whatever law he would have been violating by using an ACH?
No? (Duh!) So, why did he bother?
Congess has two hammers, the power of the purse, and impeachment. But both of those are resting very far down in the bottom drawer. And Obama skates again.

Of course it was. Why else would a government require pallets of Swiss Francs and Euros in cash instead of a simple electronic interbank transfer?
Because Iran can use the cash to pay terrorists without having to acquire hard cash themselves, which they would find problematic.
Why cash at all! The type of currency used shows that the law is stupid, it has no effect but to cause people (who want to follow the law) to do a currency exchange. The point of the law is to curtail payment of tribute or ransom, not to cabin the types of curency that are permissible when paying tribute or ransom.
And to the category of "ransom" or "settlement of a debt," the administration would have you leap to a conclusion that a payment can't be both. If release of the prisoners was contingent on the payment, then the payment was ransom.
An entirely ACCURATE and effective narrative. This is the type of meme worthy of a coordinated promotional effort. The regime acknowledges that (some of) this money will go to terrorism.
