In an astonishing act of hubris, abrogation of local control over education, and obsequiousness to Barack Obama, Obama-handmaiden Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed a friend of the court brief (i.e., an amicus curiae brief) begging for Illinois to be subject to Obamas illegal command that public schools allow boys in girls restrooms and locker rooms and vice versa.
Following the guidance from Obamas Department of Education via the Office for Civil Rights to integrate sexually all restrooms and locker rooms in government schools, eleven states led by Texas filed a lawsuit in late May requesting that an injunction be issued to stop the implementation of Obamas guidance. This lawsuit includes a 1975 quote from current U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg who said that [s]eparate places to disrobe, sleep, perform personal bodily functions are permitted, in some situations required, by regard for individual privacy.
Then leftist attorneys general stepped in on behalf of not only their own states but all 50 states to insist on having the federal government rob citizens in every state of their right to decide if they want their local schools to have coed, sex-integrated restrooms and showers for children and teens.

Lisa is Mad Again!!
Be a real shame there if someone dragged her into the NEAREST bathroom and shoved her briefs up her...
So what? Just ignore the “decrees” that are coming more nad more.
Ar ethey going to send the national guard in to defend the boys that feel like girls?
We have to start giving the middle finger to the state and fedreral people.
Does this make any sense at all? What is the bloody point? May be people in Chicago will wake up and vote correctly in the future to clean up this mess.
Child endangerment. Risk of injury to a minor. etc. She needs to register as a sexual predator.
The commie b*tch needs to “lead” by example. How many men does she shower with each day?
Yup. Just ignore, and when necessary, defend against them.
I think this is unfortunate because in spite of her father’s horrible stranglehold on Illinois politics and thus progress, Lisa Magigan has been a pretty decent attorney general. Trying to be fair...
But I skimmed over the brief and it seems the main argument is that transgeneder people are suffering from discrimination, and there is no reason not to accommodate their needs this way. The fear that sexual assaults or other traumatic injury will occur is deemed “speculative” and they claim there’s no cost impact such as Texas is claiming (i.e. building new bathrooms).
This “speculative” argument may be true but it’s specious. Suppose I say that it’s speculative that putting a stop sign up at a busy intersection will save lives, and block it’s installation. A child gets killed and then it’s no longer speculative. Does a smart woman like Madigan really want us to wait until children suffer trauma and are damaged for life before she will accept that boys in girls bathrooms is a bad idea?
Communists need bullets to the head.
I am in total agreement with your analysis.
The solution really is just that simple.
Simply fund all public schools locally.
If people in a particular state or community want public education they pay for it themselves.
No Federal dollars = No Federal interference.
There is no Constitutional mandate for Federal Funding of education in the first place.
Here is an old FR thread on this very subject.
And here is the money quote:
"No doubt those reading federal legislation and laws, replete with "must" and "shall" as condition of receipt of federal tax dollars, would dispute the contention that the US DOE is there merely to help and support states in the matter of education. No doubt a competent constitutional attorney could make the case that federal laws concerning education have, in fact, served to move control of education from the state level to the federal level in violation of the Tenth Amendment.
That IS the money quote.
I hate to say it, but who do i think is courageous in ALL of politics and news?:
Donald Trump
Rudy Giuliani
Chris Christie (with his many flaws”
Newt seems to be dependable.
Actually, Sessions is a stand up guy too, right?
So do attorneys.
Right.
And you will notice that all who you have mentioned are in the Trump camp.
Trump’s got to get Rudy and Newt out there too, even though Rudy isn’t conservative, he is well liked since 9/11. He carried us through it here.
They can pound back hard!!
Christie is a pit bull but i dont know if he carries too much baggage to attack for Trump
The legislature should move to eliminate private restrooms in all government buildings and order them opened for public use. No doubt Lisa has a private restroom proximate to her office as a perk of her position. That is patently unfair and discriminatory.
Been over 25 years since I was in the service, but if there are no coed showers in the barracks, there damn sure not be any in a school.
Hmmm. She must be a prevert. That's one step beyond a pervert.
