Understanding the origin of Charlotte’s ‘bathroom law,’ and how it led to HB2
Charlotte Observer ^ | 8/1/16 | Mark Price

Posted on 07/31/2016 7:49:33 AM PDT by NotchJohnson

Conspiracy theories about the birth of Charlotte’s so-called “bathroom law” have ranged from tales of political payoffs to a viral internet rumor of a gay sexual predator who duped the council into passing the law. Some even accused the City Council of being in league with Satan.

But the idea for the law actually first took root quietly during July 2014 as two Charlotteans sat at Nova’s Bakery on Central Avenue, considering what more Charlotte might do to protect lesbians, gays and bisexual and transgender people from discrimination.

It lasted less than 30 minutes, and the two men – City Councilman John Autry and LGBT activist Scott Bishop – left the bakery never suspecting they were about to fan a national debate on transgender rights, the next chapter of which will play out in a Winston-Salem court Monday

John Autry , Charlotte Councilman (Democrat) conspired with LGBT activist Scott Bishop to start this little bonfire so that Autry could use it against his Republican opponent in the next election. They never stop and neither should we.

Maybe their efforts would have been better spent considering what more they could do to protect Christian people from discrimination, and to protect innocent people for being preyed on by the mentally ill. I suspect THAT would benefit society much more than according a special level of protection to deviants, perverts, and dangerous predators.

* political payoffs
* a gay sexual predator who duped the council into passing the law.
* a league with Satan.

I note the article didn’t actually disprove any of these allegations.

I note that as usual, liberals are cowards. They prey upon the weak and defenseless (women and little girls) and then cravenly defend this approach.

Wouldn’t it be safer for ALL involved to default, put the extreme minority in the men’s bathroom? We are talking about 0.01% of the population. Men wouldn’t care, by large, if a woman used a stall in the men s room. Men are not as vulnerable to rape and abuse as women, and God save the pervert if I caught anyone abusing a young man.

Odds are the ambulance would not be required. And I would have “feared for my life”.

Bottom line....and I don’t think I’m alone. I plan trips and consumption of beverages so I can avoid using public restrooms.

The Charlotte Observer has long been a leftist propaganda organ, and the city it serves is a Marxist cancer.

Must we continue to pander to these Mentally deranged people? They are psychotics, they need serious treatment. They are denying reality.

Is it now necessary that we cede half of Europe to anyone who thinks they are Napoleon or would the simple act of exiling them to the Island of Elba enough?

I chose we exile both people who deny their actual biological sex AND people who believe they are Napoleon to Elba!

The real answer is that if a person looks and acts like a female, no one would know or care if they used the ladies room. The problem is that most of these psychotics look exactly like they are, men in ladies clothing.

The entire population of these LGBTQ sexual perverts is around 3.8%.

An earlier report published in April 2011 by the Williams Institute estimated that 3.8 percent of Americans identified as gay/lesbian, bisexual, or transgender: 1.7 percent as lesbian or gay, 1.8 percent as bisexual, and 0.3 percent as transgender.

This is a GROSS over statement. Particularly since most ‘Bi-Sexuals’ are just garden variety perverts who would sleep with anything and are generally just members of the prison population. All told less than 2% of the population is sexual deviants and I could care less to cater to these types.

The Charlotte Disturber is so far left it’s not decent enough to line a bird cage.

Nobody wants to talk about Chad Severence - the convicted sex offender who conspired with Charlotte’s mayor to start a war with the North Carolina legislature. Sure - call it an internet rumor.

The bathroom vote was a set up - although Charlotte’s mayor may have a personal reason for pushing the agenda. She may have problems entering ladies’ bathrooms.

Charlotte is D and the legislature is controlled by the R’s. The Dems got what they wanted. They rejoiced when Charlotte got boycotted and lost millions of dollars of jobs and business.

The Cardinals elected as Pope a man who hates Catholicism and Western Civilization. He is doing all he can to keep the West asleep in the face of international Communism and its ally, Jihad.

I can’t remember what pro-tranny sh*t they published, but I haven’t trusted them since then. Amazing, for North Carolina.

Not really. Charlotte is a city composed mostly of people from somewhere else. It is rapidly assuming many characteristics of urban cesspits elsewhere.

I should have added - the Charlotte Observer and all the local media knew that the real guy who was pushing the bathroom ordinance, Chad Severence, was a convicted sex offender. They never reported that information. It was only after the city council voted that the information leaked out.
