My brother saved a woman’s life in Lowe’s the other day. She was lying face down in the middle of the aisle stone cold dead. Absolutely no pulse whatsoever. Gave her CPR until the paramedics came (about three minutes worth), and she made it.
As a side note, CPR rarely works. But this time, it did.
He stopped by the hospital to see how she was a couple days later and her adult children gave him big hugs, thank you thank you thank you, etc.
He called one of the adult children a few days later to check up on the lady again and left a voicemail. He received a text basically telling him not to call again and they would have their lawyer call him.
The lawyer did call and interrogated him very obviously trying to find some fault of Lowe’s. “Was there anything in the aisle?” “Was there liquid on the floor?”
He said it’s interesting how you really do feel this strange sort of obligation when you save someone’s life. However, the lawyer’s call cured that very quickly.

Interesting story all around. Thank you for posting it. Good on your brother, too. You must be quite proud!
