It's not unusual to find kids selling lemonade on a hot summer day. What might be unusual though, is finding a child selling lemonade so that she can help pay her family's bills.
11-year-old Sierra Kirkman and her friend Karleigh Jernigan sold lemonade from sun up to sun down Saturday. Sierra is raising money to help her Mom pay household bills. Her Mom recently lost her job. Sierra said she wanted to help so they wouldn't be forced to down-size and move to another area.
The girls only expected a few customers to stop by, but they received many more after Greenville Police Officer Haddock saw them and learned about their cause. He came back for lemonade with more officers and Greenville Fire Rescue Crew members.
"It was pretty cool," Sierra said. "They were really nice and just cared about us a lot."
BLM won’t like this story...
Awesome. Both my kids had a lemonade stand.
Maybe not but I do. :)
It’s the 0bama economy!
No kidding. How can this be happening in such a strong economy?
I hope she has the proper permit /s/
Is there’s a GOFUNDME page for them?? My parents said they would help ...
As crazy as they are, they will call for the death of little white girls who give material support to police officers next.
bmfl
Don’t let the Dems find out - they’ll tax/fine the family under a bridge...
