The demise of the Never Trump movement is greatly exaggerated. There is no doubt that its members failed in one of their aims denying Donald Trump the GOP nomination but Never Trump was only partially about this election. At its core, the movement represents a statement about the role of character and ideas in American politics and culture.

Sad, really.
Written by Mr Never President.
Don’t these people ever give up.
Grow up.
The liberal left is bound and determined to get Hillary into the WH. If she ever does, we can all sit back and experience schadenfreude as the country goes down in flames while the MSM glorifies it.
Yes, but the statement is not positive. The ideas are stale, outmoded and don't address realities on the ground.
The GOPee is DEAD, over, kaput, on the ash-heap of History, etc.
French is getting roasted in the “Comments” section. The NT crowd is and always has been deluded about how big their movement is.

Note to SORE LOSERS:
THE reason we have a TRUMP is to get rid of you and your ilk in the party....
so get on the Trump train or jump off because for the next 16 years you and Ted Cruz...aka Lyin’ Ted...are crap outta granola!
Turned into a mental illness. Likely not treatable like a sociopathology.
Dude is a total fag.
I’m getting a BAD feeling about Cruz’s speech on Thursday...
Blah, blah, blah.
Its tonight.
The time for this was the primaries. You ride the horse that’s under you, not the one you wish you had.
I've been a National Review subscriber for more than thirty years. I think NR the publication is far apart from its readers vis-a-vis Donald Trump. I thought it was fine when NR came out against Trump during the primaries because he was not a conventional conservative and the purpose of NR is to promote conservatism. However, NR’s decision to oppose Trump even after he got the nomination is a despicable betrayal of conservatism, given that the alternative to Trump is Hillary Clinton. At this point, I have no idea what the point of articles such as French's is.
