(Full title)Never Trump Is Officially Dead and Buried: How Ken Cuccinelli, Mike Lee Sold Out Grassroots for Convention Floor Spectacle
CLEVELAND, Ohio Ken Cuccinelli of the Senate Conservatives Fund and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) sold out grassroots conservatives so they could make a spectacle on the floor of the Republican National Convention as part of the last dying breaths of the Never Trump collective, which is now officially dead, Breitbart News has confirmed.
A senior Republican involved in the negotiations told Breitbart News that Cuccinelli and Lee were given an opportunity to accept two different proposals by the RNC chairman Reince Priebus.
They walked away from both, said the Republican strategist personally involved in the negotiations, someone who had friends on both sides.

Cruz and his bots loved the RNC rules, when they were using the rules
to steal Trump delegates.
Today, not so much.
Yeah, whatever happened to “the rules are the rules”? LOL.
They would rather have nothing than something?
Typical stupid negotiating tactic
I can’t believe they will follow his orders. Most of those delegates have been party loyalist. They are not going to drink the kool aid and ruin their party spots. We are talking people who’s hobby is to attend every party function. They have years invested in their Party activity. To destroy that in one short walk to the door is truly party suicide. Do these people understand Democracy? I will believe it when I see it. Cruz lost fair and square. What is the beef?
Sorry, this is not important. It’s all about Melanie Trump using words that every one has used for as long as I have lived (66years).
And trump will have something to say about that when he’s president
Absolutely spot on correct!! Flushed them out of hiding..
You’re right. Many have years invested, so what do they fear so much that they’re willing to risk it all?
Was there not a way for the RNC to let them have their vote, knowing the outcome in advance, anyway?
Tea Party’s dead. Guys like Lee, Cruz, Sasse and Cuch killed it.
People just think they are nutjobs, and they are right.
“The two of them getting all upset over petty things. Who cares about rules and the like insiders only care about.”
Breitbart is reporting the two of them were offered everything they wanted, and they walked.
So they were determined to just cause a floor disruption, the “rules” meant nothing to them, exactly what democrat operatives would have done.
Kick them out.
Cruz was actually my first choice until Trump got into the race and for most of the race I would have been fine if either one of them won. Even after Cruz's games trying to run the table with unelected delegates in the primary, I still considered him a solid conservative and somebody I would have no problem voting for one day. But his antics since the primary ended, undermining Trump, supporting (or at a minimum not condemning) what his followers are pulling at the convention and breaking his pledge not to support Trump have pretty much turned me into a "broken glass" #NeverCruz'er. I wonder if he and his supporters realize that they are losing the very conservatives they will need most of all in the 2020/2024 primary?
All I can say is that Cruz has a very slim window left to get even a shred of my respect back. During his convention speech he better come out and give the most whole-hearted, enthusiastic endorsement of Trump in history and spend from now until election night campaigning for him, then and only then...I might...consider supporting him one day.
And, what really gets me, is how these people swear inside and out they are outsiders, then turn right around and try to hide behind the most arcane insider party rules and then act all indignant about it.
They are phonies. Now that they’ve shot their wad with nothing to show for it, they can go back home. Kendal Unruh can go back to her safe place and save all the money she’s been spending on hair coloring:

Mr. trisham was very disappointed that Sarah wasn’t scheduled to speak at the convention. We talked about it last night and we both hope that Trump will include her in his administration.
Melania will be a wonderful First Lady.
I have found a small group, smarter than the rest of US, claiming ‘conservative’ credentials, coming in the name of Reagan, are nothing more than a coven of snobs that are functioning illiterates. They have the gift of gab down, but they are the laziest people on God’s green earth except when it comes to creating chaos. They are worse than the entitled liberals, and are not conservative in the slightest. NOT one of them ever take personal responsibility for anything...
Melania IS basically an old-fashioned Movie Star, with ALL The class that is missing from Contemporary Stars.
"As a woman, all I could do was take in her stunning beauty and poise."
That is a major threat to Beta Males. Melania may not be the dictionary definition of an "Alpha Female", she is strong, beautiful, confidante, poised.
Things that men USED to look for in a Woman.
"You and I have discussed this over the years since Palin came on the scene."
What Strikes me with Both Melania and especially Sarah Palin, is that they are everything The Women's Rights People want.
Sarah was the Governor of the Largest State in the Union and Threw Corrupt Patriarchs in Jail.
But no, she is the Most Hated Conservative in the Past 50 years.
Jealousy maybe? Fear of Powerful Women? I don't know what is wrong with Modern Men.
30 seconds worth of words - and ignoring the other 17 minutes. Pathetic.
Former Virginia Governor, Jim Gilmore’s facebook post about it:
“I just watched Ken Cuccinelli participate in an effort to overturn the Rules at the Republican National Convention. When he was not successful he threw his credentials on the floor and stomped off.
“John Hager, Jerry Kilgore and I were all excluded from the Virginia delegation through Cuccinelli’s efforts. It appears that Ken didn’t want other leadership in the delegation that would have opposed his behavior in Cleveland.
“Since Donald Trump won the Virginia primary and secured the votes to be nominated, I have consistently spoken out on behalf of Party unity on behalf of our candidate. The country needs us now to unite to defeat Hillary Clinton, not to fight each other.”
